Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Rosido (a partnership firm with its office at H.No-414, Jagbir Chaudhary Vala Transformer, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh 201009) collects, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Guests: name, mobile number, optional email, dates and message for booking requests. If you create an account, we also keep your email and password (stored securely by our authentication provider) and show you your own booking history.
• Messages: if you chat with a host or guest through the Platform, we store the conversation. Phone numbers and email addresses are hidden in chat until a booking is confirmed, and our team may read conversations when needed to resolve a dispute or keep the Platform safe.
• Hosts: name, mobile, email, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), property address, photos, description and rates.
• Technical: basic information such as your browser type, and a sign-in session stored in your browser so you stay logged in.

How we use it

• To show listings, process and confirm booking requests, and contact you about them.
• To review and publish host listings, and to keep the Platform safe.
• To reply to your messages and improve our services.

Who sees it

• A host sees the contact details of guests who send requests for that host's listings.
• A host's exact address is never shown publicly. Guests receive it only after confirmation.
• The Rosido team can see listings, bookings and account details to run the service.
• Hosts check guests' government photo ID at check-in. Rosido does not collect or store copies of guest ID.
• We do not sell your personal data.

Where it is stored

Data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) and the site is hosted by Netlify. These providers process data on our behalf with security measures in place. Emails (booking alerts and account emails) are sent through Resend, and messages you send through the Contact form are stored with Supabase and read by the Rosido team. If you turn on phone alerts, your device's notification address is stored so we can send you booking and message alerts; you can turn them off at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep data for as long as needed to run the service and meet legal duties, then delete or anonymise it.

Cookies and analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It uses cookies and collects technical information such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. We do not use it for advertising and we do not enable ad personalisation. If you choose "No thanks", analytics stays off. You can change your choice at any time: reset my analytics choice. Google processes this data under its own privacy terms.

Your choices

You can delete your account yourself at any time: sign in, open My account (or the host dashboard) and choose "Delete my account" at the bottom. This is not possible while a booking is waiting or confirmed. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing therosido@gmail.com. We will reply within a reasonable time.

Children

The Platform is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
